Dr Cynthia Kew is an obstetrician and gynaecologist in private practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre. She is currently holding the position of MIS subsection chair of College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Singapore. Her special interests are endometriosis management, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery and optimising care for women with less invasive options.

Before starting in private practice, she was practicing at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital Singapore, and she held the position of Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre. She spearheaded the set-up of the KK Hospital Endometriosis Centre and is on the expert panel of consultants. She was a trainer and accreditor for level 3 laparoscopy/hysteroscopy in the hospital. Her academic and teaching positions include Associate Programme Director of the SingHealth Residency Program in O&G, the largest postgraduate training program for the specialty in Singapore. Other academic appointments included Adjunct Assistant Professor in Duke-NUS School of Medicine and Clinical Senior Lecturer in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr Kew has been the Course Director for multiple laparoscopy and hysteroscopy courses and has been invited as surgical trainer and speaker for international and local congresses and workshops. Dr Kew has also been the co-chairperson of the Regional APAGE Congress in Minimally Invasive Surgery in Singapore from 2015 to 2019.

She is also currently a Visiting Consultant with the Minimally Invasive Surgery department at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
