Our Faculty

Professor Michael D Mueller is a:-

• FMH board-certified Gynecologist and Obstetrician
• Board certification in surgical Gynecology and Obstetrics
• Board certification in Gynecological Oncology

His areas of interest include Endometriosis, Gynecological Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Angiogenesis, Inflammation related Cytokines/Chemokines and lastly Pain pathophysiology

He won the ESGO Certificate of Professional Recognition in 2023. He was nominated for the AAGL Steege Mentorship Award in 2022.

In 2000, he won the first prize for the best scientific work in Gynecology as well as 40 first prizes for scientific posters, 30 prizes for best videos and other scientific awards.

He has thus far 270 publications in peer reviewed journals and more than 20 book chapters. 

He is:-

• the current President of the Swiss Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (SGGG).
• Board member of the working group for Gynecological Oncology (AGO, SGGG).
• Member of the working group for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (AKOL, SGGG)
• Founding member and current president of the working group for Endoscopic Gynecology (AGE, SGGG)
• Member of the European Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE)
• Member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE)
• Member of the European Society of Gynecological Oncology ESGO
• Member of the Society of Pelvic Surgeons (SPS)
• Member of the Endometriosis Society
• Editorial Board Member of Gynecological Surgery and regular Reviewer of Gynecologic Oncology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, Obstetrics and Gynecology and other scientific journals.
