Dr Yap Lip Kee has been in private practice in Mount Elizabeth Medical Center since 1991 at Gynae Consultancy Pte Ltd.
In 1997 he organised the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy's Annual Congress in Singapore. In the same year he was invited to be founding head of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit in the new KK Women's & Children's Hospital. He served two 3-year terms from 1997 to 2003.
He was the President of the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy from 2001 to 2003.
He was a council member of the Singapore Medical Council from 1999 - 2008.
