Doctor Yoshiaki Ota, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from Nihon University School of Medicine in 1999 and joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Nihon University School of Medicine in the same year. 2005 Doctor of Reproductive Immunology.

He has been an obstetrics and gynecology physician at Kurashiki Medical Center since 2006, a medical director since 2009, and a chief director since 2016. he has been an associate professor at Kawasaki Medical School since 2020.

He is a councilor of the Japanese Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Treatment and a member of the Technical Certification System Committee. He is also a councilor of the Japanese Society of Endoscopic Surgery, where he also serves as a member of the editorial board and the bylaws committee. He is also a secretary of the Japanese Society of Pelvic Floor Medicine. He has received the Best Surgical Video Award from the Japanese Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Treatment twice (2007 and 2012), the Karl Storz Award from the Japanese Society of Endoscopic Surgery in 2009, the Lilo Mettler Award from the European Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy in 2010, and the Clinical Department Award from the Japanese Society for Endometriosis in 2013.

He is currently one of the top surgeons performing robotic surgery at Kawasaki Medical School. He also proctors robotic surgeries. He is also the only surgeon in the field of obstetrics and gynecology with a Class B international license.
