Dr Hazim is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Hospital Putrajaya.

He spearheaded the OBGYN services in Hospital Putrajaya 23 years ago. Started endoscopic training in 1990s and initiated endoscopic procedure in Putrajaya Hospital. Since 2004, has been actively conducting and facilitating endoscopic workshop at national levels.

He had established Putrajaya Hospital as the leading endoscopic centre in the country. Till to-date, he had trained numerous specialist and doctors in minimally invasive surgery. Almost all extrauterine pregnancy were dealt with endoscopically. 70% of hysterectomy, 95% of cystectomies and 60% of myomectomies were treated via endoscopic procedures.

He had also embarked on minimally invasive surgery gynae oncology surgery for endometrial malignancy and early ovarian tumours.

He is the founder and past president of Gynaecological Endoscopic Society of Malaysia (GESM). A society to establish minimally invasive surgical training and certification.

He has also led Putrajaya Hospital in numerous research in minimally invasive surgery. Many of his papers can be found in the journal of Gynaecological Minimally Invasive Therapy (GMIT).

He is currently the National OBGYN Head of service Ministry of Health Malaysia.
