Cervical Cancer in the Post LACC Trial Era. Is There Still Room for MIS?
Professor Park Jeong-Yeol is a gynecologic oncologist. He earned bachelor’s degree at College of Medicine, Gyongsang National University, Korea, a master’s degree and doctorate at Graduate School of Medicine, Univerity of Ulsan, Korea. He has completed his residency and fellowship at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Korea.
He was with the Center for Uterine Cancer, National Cancer Center, Korea, as a gynecologic oncologist for 3 years. He is currently with the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. He performs gynecologic oncologic surgeries including minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic) and chemotherapy for cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal and vulvar cancer. He also performs minimally invasive surgery for benign gynecologic tumors including myoma, adnomyosis, and endometriosis.
He participated in numerous clinical trials regarding gynecologic cancers. His main research subjects are minimally invasive surgery for gynecologic cancer, fertility-sparing surgery for gynecologic cancer, debulking surgery for ovarian cancer and targeted therapy for endometrial cancer and uterine sarcoma. He has published over 150 pear-reviewed scientific articles in the international Journals.
